One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, the waterfall of the gods, located very close to the road No. 1 in Godafoss

This "waterfall of the gods", close to road 1, is a must-see stop halfway between Akureyri and Mývatn. There are views on both sides of the waterfall and the panorama is spectacular. You have the option of parking in one of the two car parks. With its arched shape and its 12 m height and 30 m width, it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Beware, it is very popular with tourists and therefore very crowded, even at the beginning of the high season. Come early or late in the day!

Grande cascade très impressionnante avec plusieurs cataractes. Elle mérite un arrêt en particulier pour les amoureux de la photographie.

Beaucoup moins impressionnante mais pas dénué d'intérêt. Cascade très jolie. L'avantage est de pouvoir s'approcher au plus prêt.

Jolie "petite" cascade, moins impressionnante que d'autres mais elle vaut le détour. Elle est visible depuis la route et un parking permet de se garder à côté. Une toute petite marche permet d'aller au bord de la cascade.
