Hotel of a good address in Akureyri, housing double rooms, all equipped with a bathroom, and a television

This beautiful white and black house overlooking the harbour and the fjord is very reminiscent of a small Scottish harbour. It has 19 double rooms, all with bathroom and television. They are all decorated with small original details in sobriety. The common areas are decorated in a vintage and atypical style of the best taste. While having your delicious breakfast in the lounge, enjoy the view of the fjord. The modest size of the hotel and its central location make it a very good address.

Prachtig gerenoveerd hotel.
Ontbijt was erg goed geregeld.

"Save yourself the headache and avoid this hotel like the plague! From the moment you wake up at the crack of dawn to the late hours of the evening, you're bombarded with the deafening sounds of construction. It's like trying to sleep in the middle of a war zone.

But it's not just the noise that's unbearable—it's the thick layer of dust that permeates every inch of the room. It's so overwhelming that you can practically taste it in the air. And yet, there's not a single mention of the ongoing construction on their website or during the booking process. It's a blatant disregard for transparency and common courtesy.

To make matters worse, when I brought up the issue with the staff, they couldn't care less. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, just a dismissive shrug as if it were no big deal.

It's clear that this hotel has no respect for its guests' comfort or well-being. They'd rather pocket the money from bookings than provide a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Do yourself a favor and find accommodations elsewhere. Trust me, you'll thank me when you're not trying to sleep through the sound of jackhammers.

"Let me tell you about my horrifying experience at this so-called hotel. As I was checking in, I couldn't help but overhear the manager yelling at the housekeepers in the most demeaning and disrespectful way possible. He was berating them, calling them names, and asking if they were stupid. It was absolutely sickening to witness.

It's clear that this place has no regard for treating their staff like human beings. The way they were being treated was nothing short of evil. No one deserves to be spoken to in such a degrading manner, especially not hardworking individuals just trying to do their jobs.

I refuse to support a business that condones such despicable behavior. Treating people with respect and dignity should be a basic expectation, yet this hotel fails miserably in that regard.

For ethical reasons alone, I urge you to steer clear of this establishment. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that actually value their staff and treat them like human beings. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Trust me, you'll sleep much better knowing you're not supporting such a toxic environment
