This museum presents several objects that belonged to Jóhann Kristinn Pétursson (1913-1984), the tallest man in the world who was 2.34 m tall. Apart from some local personalities, the museum also offers a retrospective on the life and work of the region through several objects, artworks by local artists and a section dedicated to natural history with several local birds, mammals and plants, including a polar bear. Part of the exhibition also deals with the earthquake that took place in Dalvik in 1934.
