SAN MARTIN CHURCH
The church is remarkable for its square bell tower, which reaches 33 m high and can be seen from 6 km around.
Labeled "20th Century Heritage" since 2004, this church, the work of architect Louis Le Sauterr, is a pure product of the Reconstruction. This is normal, considering that the city was practically razed in June 1944. The foundation stone, taken from the ruins of the old building, was laid on March 7, 1948. The church is remarkable for its square bell tower, which rises to a height of 33 m and can be seen from 6 km away. The interior is as modern as the exterior, from the stained glass windows to the stations of the cross and the mosaics.
