Neo-Gothic church which dominates the city and can be seen from several dozen kilometres away in Avranches.
It dominates the city and, from the promontory that forms the base of Avranches, several tens of kilometers away can be seen, including Mont-Saint-Michel. A vast neo-gothic building that sculptors with overflowing imagination have embellished with fantastic gargoyles, various animals, and picturesque characters. Bombing during World War II damaged the church, which was closed for 18 years for repairs before reopening in 1962. Registered in the inventory of Historic Monuments, it sits on a large square, and its visit can end with a walk in the park opposite.
