Statue built in 1832 of an Avranchinois general, Roger Valhubert, who was wounded and did not survive the Battle of Austerlitz.
Avranchinais general who died in Austerlitz, his statue was erected on July 16, 1832, in the Paris market. Louis XVIII donated it to the city of Avranches, the birthplace of this great general. After a long career, he was wounded at the Battle of Austerlitz and would not survive. For the short story, his name is one of those engraved on the Parisian Arc de Triomphe, among other famous names.
