A street in Avranches famous for its "gargoyle house", built in stone by merchant Jean Le Masson in 1651.
Formerly on rue Quatre-Œufs, you'll pass the "maison aux gargouilles", built in ashlar in 1651 by the merchant Jean Le Masson, who made his fortune in the butter trade. The gargoyles are located between the first and second floors. Stretching from Place Saint-Gervais to Rue Pendante, this street is well worth a detour, to take your mind off things for a while.
