NATIONAL SEA RESCUE SOCIETY
Lifesaving station offering assistance to boats in distress, with a monument to those lost at sea.
The Barfleur rescue station consists of rescuers who come to the aid of boats in distress, braving the squalls aboard the unsinkable, self-righting vessel Amiral de Tourville. Always visible in the harbour among the fishing boats, this is the station’s 6th canoe. At the end of the wharf, you can visit the station: a trunk awaits you and collects your donations. Outside, you will discover the monument erected in memory of the perished and missing at sea.
