THE CASTLE OF THE SEMONDIERE
La Semondière, a Louis XIII-style château, is the oldest building in the Brécey community.
The castle of Semondière is the oldest building of the community of communes. Built at the end of the 16th century, this Louis XIII style castle, surrounded by a moat, was the residence of the Counts of Brécey. The staircase leading today to the entrance of the castle is made of the granite of an old horse ramp, now disappeared. The furnished and carefully decorated interior allows visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Norman nobility. Several rooms are available, and you can also organise your private events.
