Each year, at the end of July, thousands of people march into the city centre for the traditional braderie. The pedestrian streets are filled with various stalls, but also other trade arteries, such as Albert-Mahieu Street. For this occasion, local merchants, but also many specialised vendors, whom the less well-intentioned will call "pied," take place in the open air. Smartshops should consider parking at the limits of the hypercentre and not try to find a place closest to the stands!
