Downtown Cherbourg offers horse-drawn carriage rides and liners stops that are well known to local tourists.
An original way to visit the town centre of Cherbourg, the horse-drawn carriage ride criss-crosses the streets of the capital of the Cotentin region at its own pace. From the theatre to the Place Napoleon, from the marina to the Place de la Fontaine, you will be pulled by draft horses, as powerful as they are gentle. It is to an enthusiast, the breeder Francis Valognes, that we owe this possibility now well known to local tourists. The rides, lasting half an hour, are possible every Saturday in July and August, as well as during liner calls.
