MUSEUM KNOWLEDGE OF COTENTIN
Go there and contact
A nice museum with knowledge, offering an opportunity to relive the past of the city and the region of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.
This pretty little museum offers to relive the past of the city and the region. The Glacerie thus keeps the memory of the glass factory, the object of a first room, first installed in Tourlaville in the 16th century. In 1685, the factory (of which you have part of the old pediment exposed) supplied the 357 mirrors of Versailles, then the factory closed in 1830. The other rooms are devoted to the life of the Cotentin region, with local headdresses from the past and a lot of agricultural equipment.
