Today, the Becquet Harbour is a delight for yachtsmen.
Small, medium-sized and large buildings - it was from the tiny port of Le Becquet that the stones for the construction of the largest artificial harbor ever built went: Cherbourg Harbour. So much for the history of a place built between 1783 and 1785, always with modest means but with a view to resisting the wrath of the elements: the dike has already undergone numerous repairs, the jetty is made of dry stone, embankment trimmed with rubble laid vertically on dry land. Today, the harbor is a delight for yachtsmen.
