Warm welcoming. Feel like home. Merci Isabelle, ✌️
Maison Manesse offers exciting and creative dishes. The food itself was delicious, with unique flavor combinations that pushed boundaries. However, the wine pairing wasn't quite to my taste, featuring more experimental selections compared to classic pairings.
The service was friendly, but the pacing of the meal was a major drawback. The wait times between courses were excessively long. Our 6-course meal took a staggering 4.5 hours, which significantly disrupted the rhythm of the fine dining experience.
Considering the long wait times that detracted from the flow of the evening, I'm hesitant to say Maison Manesse fully meets the standard of a 1-star Michelin establishment.
Overall: If you're looking for adventurous food, Maison Manesse is worth considering. However, be aware of the potential for extended wait times and a more relaxed atmosphere compared to other fine dining options.
We had the tasting menu and each dish was delicious and unique. The sommelier’s wine suggestions were great. Overall, the service felt personable and not pretentious which I appreciated. I look forward to coming back here in the future!
Great you are back in New location
Top!
Seasonal ingredients, interesting flavours combinations, friendly atmosphere
The approachable, polite and smiling staff is definitely giving you a personal and intimate experience that, along with the creative and unusual food combinations, you will not forget
Upon entering, the establishment emanates a modern allure through its sophisticated yet understated interior design. The atmosphere is a seamless fusion of cosy intimacy and stylish modernity, ensuring that each patron feels exceptionally valued.
The avant-garde cuisine served at Maison Manesse is its very essence. By employing their innovative methodology, the chefs push the limits of conventional culinary norms. Every individual dish serves as a canvas, showcasing an intricate harmony of hues, textures, and tastes. The menu pays homage to Swiss heritage through the use of locally sourced ingredients, while also being influenced by global culinary traditions.
Particularly praiseworthy is the restaurant's commitment to seasonality and sustainability. Constantly changing, the menu guarantees that patrons are served the most recently harvested ingredients that correspond to the season.
The wine list is equally impressive at Maison Manesse. Selected dishes, encompassing both domestic and foreign fare, guarantee to enhance your gastronomic encounter. Every bottle is meticulously selected to ensure a symphony of flavors with the dishes.
Nevertheless, Maison Manesse is distinguished most by its impeccable service. Serving diners with a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, the staff provides menu navigation, anecdotes regarding the inspirations behind each dish, and guarantees an individualized dining encounter.
Among the constantly changing culinary establishments in Zurich, Maison Manesse stands out as a model of excellence and innovation. Beyond mere dining, one is invited to become engrossed in a gastronomic narrative that evokes emotions of both joy and excitement.
A must-visit for those in search of a gastronomic encounter that stimulates the senses and sustains the spirit is Maison Manesse. You are in for a symphony of flavors, craftsmanship, and hospitality!
The place: quaint, inviting. Not too distracting with decoration, so you can focus on what matters: gastronomy.
The food: exquisite. Ranging from herby, refreshing, to rich and comforting. I personally enjoyed all of the dishes they served, with some nice surprises like the soy yogurt served between main dishes, the red cabbage core, and my personal favorite, the noix gras (foie gras-like dish made with nuts and decorated with pumpkin flowers).
The service: one of the nicest experiences we had in Michelin star places. Not serious or over-the-top, dishes were presented in a fun way, and staff was young, interacted with us quite nicely, and patiently waited while I translated dish descriptions to my mom, who only speaks Portuguese. We got some nice wine recommendations and the sommelier was remarkably knowledgeable and chatted with us about wines we had elsewhere. Lovely experience at Maison Manesse. The only remark I would have is service stretched for almost 4 hours, which would not really be a problem, except we were quite exhausted and started getting pretty sleepy at the end.
