A rather decent pension for the price, run by an Italian family in a pretty little building in the residential district of Hottingen. At the foot of the wine-growing hills of south-east Zurich, in an area rich in Belle Époque architecture, Hotel California offers simple but well-appointed apartments. They feature a kitchenette with coffee machine and microwave, as well as an office area. Excellent pizzas are also available. The Asylstrasse streetcars take you to the city center in less than 10 minutes. Recommended stopover.
