CHURCH OF ST. NICHOLAS

Visit the Church of St. Nicholas to observe its Gothic appearance, with classical decoration, and a lantern tower.
The first St. Nicholas Chapel was built in the 13th century outside the city walls. Too small, it was replaced by a larger church in the 14th century, which in turn was badly damaged during the Hundred Years’ War, and the bell-tower-porch and part of the western facade are vestiges of the Middle Ages. The church that can be admired nowadays was built between the end of the 16th and the 19th century. It still has a Gothic appearance that can only be dated by its classical decoration, and its 18th-century lantern tower stands out in the landscape.
