BÂTIMENT DES FORCES MOTRICES
A former factory on the Rhone converted into a theater offers excellent shows in a truly original setting.
"And the factory became a theater..." And what a theater it is! It's a unique venue, with huge bay windows adorning this imposing building dating back to 1886. The Bâtiment des forces motrices (BFM) was a factory on the Rhône. Its hydraulic system supplied the entire city, as well as the pont de la Machine curtain dam, as you can still see from the huge turbines at the entrance. This monument hosts excellent shows, concerts and ballets. Excellent acoustics!
