An early Christian hexagonal baptistery, the remains of which were revealed when an elementary school was built in 1956.
During construction of a new elementary school in 1956, excavations revealed the remains of an early Christian baptistery. With its hexagonal shape, the original baptistery is the only one to have been found north of the Loire. What remains today are the 9-metre-wide foundations and the 60-centimetre-deep basin. Estimated to date from the 6th century, it has been listed as a Monument Historique since July1, 1958.
