It is a traditional market in winter, growing in summer, with the influx of vacationers and tourists from all over the world. A few dozen metres from the Channel, in the pretty village of Portbail, the market is on Tuesday morning. While the tourist season is in full swing, you will also have the opportunity to go there from Carteret by train, not any one, since it is not a small train, but a real train on the railway connecting the two communes.

Marché de Portbail 50580 Port-Bail-Sur-Mer
Le marché hebdomadaire de Port-Bail-Sur-Mer est un grand marché très bien achalandé, varié et très prisé. De nombreuses personnes y étaient déjà affairées à faire leurs courses à 9h00. Alimentation, plats cuisinés (poulets rôtis, etc.), vêtements divers, fleurs et autres, il y a réellement un grand choix. L'ambiance est agréable et conviviale. Ce marché est très fréquenté jusque tard dans la matinée car les tarifs pratiqués sont très corrects. Il faut venir de bonne heure pour pouvoir garer son véhicule. A noter qu'un assez grand parking est dévolu aux camping-cars mais il est vite encombré par de nombreuses voitures lorsqu'elles n'ont plus de place sur les autres parkings.
