Mohamed Boumehdi was the "official" ceramist of the architect Fernand Pouillon. Today, the Boumehdi family's workshop-boutique is one of the most interesting, if not the most original, places to buy the country's handicrafts. Its potteries with shimmering colors, mixing skillfully tradition and modernity, are known throughout Algeria. The children of the master perpetuate the memory of their father, who died in 2006, by maintaining his techniques and his art.
