Trained by a professor at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Farid is a talented young craftsman. Specializing in wood painting, he decorates furniture and other items, such as chests, tables, mirrors, pencil boxes, cradles and fatma hands, with arabesques, flowers and other Moorish-inspired motifs in shimmering colors. His creations are on sale in his workshop-boutique in the Casbah, as well as in one of the boutiques in the airport departure hall. He also designed the airport's VIP lounge.
