EL DJENINA
Located a stone's throw from the Bardo Museum, this Ottoman palace-style restaurant, open since 1968, offers a menu rich in Algerian specialties(chorba, hrira, boureks, tajines, lemon chicken, sfiria, couscous...). Daily specials range from Algerian rechta to Biskra tchekhtchoukha and other local dishes. The owners spent three years refurbishing the place, turning it into a true replica of the palaces of the Casbah: earthenware tiles, brassware lamps, wooden chests found here and there, carved wooden ceilings.
