Set in a man-made cave, this establishment is a veritable Ali Baba's cave of flavors. After a long period of closure, it recently reopened with a new menu. The menu features typical Algerian dishes such as hmiss, couscous and méchoui, as well as a range of Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as paella. Djamel, the owner, keeps a close eye on things, and the mezzanine is very pleasant for a more intimate meal or one with friends. The service is top-notch. A sure bet in central Algiers.

We are two couples who dined two evening in this restaurant. An excellent address by the originality of the place, the very professional welcome but very warm, and the quality of the meal.
The second evening, the meal was decorated with an accompaniment of French songs interpreted by a nice singer and very pleasant to listen, we would have spent all night long.
