This is the former hammam Sidna, known as the "bath of the Deys" and built around 1575, at the time of Hassan Pacha. The place has been renovated and transformed into a traditional restaurant, mostly frequented by foreign tourists. We go there for the décor, which is truly fabulous, and the evening entertainment provided by a chaâbi orchestra. To the sound of Arabo-Andalusian melodies, typical Algerian dishes are served. The unique menu includes chorba, bourek, salad, rechta or mtewem, dessert and tea.
