The name refers to the bridja, an Ottoman-era funerary monument where jasmine bouquets were once distilled. Among the cemetery's 65,000 graves are those of numerous Algerian personalities, including chaâbi masters El Hadj El-Anka, Dahmane El Harrachi, El Hadj M'Rizez, singer Fadela D'Ziria, actor Rouiched, Frantz Fanon's wife... Beautiful view of the sea.
