This superb natural belvedere perched on a high cliff in Algiers offers panoramic views over the bay.

This superb natural belvedere offers from the top of the cliff on which it is perched a beautiful panorama of the bay of Algiers. Property of the Swedish consulate which made its gardens, the land was then acquired in 1913 by the Claridge company which had the ambition to build a hotel there. The project did not see the light of day and the land. It is given to the city hall of Algiers in 1928 which develops the ground to make a public garden in terraces.
