Founded in 1843, it is a school of art which obtained its title of National School of Fine Arts of Algiers in 1881. The beautiful building surrounded by gardens has in its time welcomed prestigious students including Paul Belmondo, the sculptor, father of the famous Jean-Paul Belmondo. Two very beautiful nudes of his hand are still visible there. Do not hesitate to visit the place, but also to get information on the events organized by and for the students.
