The collections in this modern building focus on the struggles for independence waged by both Numidian kings and opponents of Ottoman and French domination. From a sword given to Emir Abdelkader by Napoleon III, to the personal objects of Colonel Amirouche or Ali la Pointe, who distinguished himself during the Battle of Algiers in 1957, not forgetting the guillotine from the Serkadji (ex-Barberousse) prison, they are not without interest.
