MAMA has returned to the majestic setting of the former Galeries de France. Algeria's counterpart to Galeries Lafayette, they were designed in 1914 by architect Henri Petit, a leading figure in the neo-Moorish school. Before it was closed for renovation, the museum hosted temporary exhibitions, retrospectives of artists, photographers and installations by Algerian and foreign visual artists. Exhibitions changed approximately every six months. Bookshop.

Former store "Galleries de France" transformed into a museum. Not very attractive from outside, but we have to go home. Very nice building. The time architecture has been preserved. The hotel is very busy. Only the ground floor is used. Beautiful collection of paintings and photos. See you.
