A park laid out by Colonel Marengo's military prisoners, featuring lush vegetation and the tomb of Queen Amélia.
This sloping garden was laid out by Colonel Marengo's military prisoners in 1833 on the site of a Muslim cemetery, which itself covered the remains of a Roman necropolis. A wide path runs through the park, winding its way through lush vegetation. The Queen's Tomb was built in 1848 in memory of Queen Amélie, wife of Louis-Philippe I. This garden, which runs alongside the Lycée Emir Abdelkader (ex-Bugeaud), is not very popular today.
