CLIMAT DE FRANCE OR " CITÉ CHEVALIER " (KNIGHT CITY)
Cité Climat de France, designed by architect Fernand Pouillon, is located in one of France's most working-class neighborhoods.
The Cité Climat de France, located in one of the most popular districts of the city, is not open to the public, but may be of interest to architecture enthusiasts. In this case, avoid walking to the site and ask a cab to take you there. In the 1950s, as the Algerian population suffered from impoverishment and the city's suburbs became shanty towns, Mayor Jacques Chevalier commissioned architect Fernand Pouillon to build the Cité Climat de France.
