OLD AMPHITHEATRE
This 80-metre-long archaeological site, an ancient amphitheatre located in Tipasa, is home to Roman remains.
Tipasa's archaeological site opens onto the remains of the ancient amphitheatre, which can be seen first on the right. 80 meters long, it is the largest monument in the ancient city. Its ellipsoidal arena features two gates at either end of its east-west axis. It is also one of the most recent buildings in the Roman city. The bleachers have all but disappeared, but the tunnel through which the gladiators entered is still visible. Only the northern part of the monument has been uncovered.
