Behind the amphitheatre, you can see the remains of Tipasa's two temples: the New Temple, on the left, and the Anonymous Temple, on the right, both dating from the late 2nd, early 3rd century AD. The arcades and walls of the shops have disappeared, but the columns of the Cardo attest to the economic, social and political importance of this north-south axis. The Cardo, whose remains give the impression of plunging into the sea, offers one of Tipasa's finest vantage points, and would be a shame to miss.
