FRESCO VILLA
Villa built according to a Hellenistic plan to discover frescoes and traces of plaster testifying to the city's prosperity.
Built in the 2nd century on a Hellenistic plan, the ruins of the Villa des Fresques include the remains of the mosaic that adorned the dining room floor of this villa, founded by the Phoenicians before passing into Roman hands in the 2nd century AD. Traces of plaster found on wall fragments testify to the prosperity of the city and the wealth of this residence, which explains its name. It's a lovely place to visit, in a magnificent natural setting with vegetation and sea views.
