An ancient forum located next to an ancient museum in Cherchell, recounting the history of Antiquity (Phoenician and Roman eras).
Near the old museum, we discover the ancient forum, or main public square, of Caesarea. The north side of the square, or rather of what has been cleared, is highlighted by a gutter, two steps and the remains of a colonnade. The south side was adjacent to the theater, which formed the backdrop to the forum. This was the junction between the cardo maximus, linking the theater to the south and the northern part of the city, and the decumanus maximus, the main east-west axis. As a result, it occupied a central position in the layout of the ancient city.
