Adorned with a magnificent plantation of bellombras, the Martyrs' square is endowed with a replica of a Roman fountain with four enormous heads, the original of which is in the courtyard of the museum. You can also see many fragments of ancient works: columns, capitals... Its cornice walk offers beautiful views of the lighthouse and the port, enclosed between the Quai de la Douane and the Joinville island. It is particularly pleasant in the early evening.

La "placette" comme l'appelle les locaux est le lieu privilégié des moment tranquille!
Aux heures les plus chaudes difficiles d'ailleurs de trouver une endroit pour s'assoir à l'ombre! Mais qu'importe se sera toujours un lieu propice au rencontre et pour faire de nouvelles connaissances en toute amitié. Avec cependant une nuance, à chaque fois que j'ai pu m'y balader, c'était une immense majorité d'homme (99% facile) qui profiter de ce lieu!
