Built in the Arab-Moorish style, the magnificent Dar El-Bey palace served as the residence of the Titteri beys before being occupied by Emir Abdelkader, who made it his main political headquarters from 1835 onwards. Restored in 2007, the palace has housed the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions since 2011. Surrounding the patio, the museum's rooms feature handicrafts such as jewelry and costumes, as well as a room dedicated entirely to the Emir, featuring his sword.
