This fort, built by Ramdhan Agha in 1661 under the reign of Ismail Pacha, is now home to a small museum containing various Roman remains. In octagonal form, the fort presents atypical architecture. The courtyard in arcades opens onto the kitchen, the prayer room, the hammam, the storage of weapons and the prison. The terrace of the fort, which once included 22 cannons, offers a panoramic view throughout the town and Algiers.
