Located in the Daan Viljoen reserve, anchored in the heart of a sanctuary with a relatively large population of game species typical of the highlands. Because of its proximity to Windhoek and its green setting, it is a convenient stopover for visitors wishing to avoid the relative hustle and bustle of the capital.

朝日を見るにはゲートを2つ通らなければなりません。このロッジは１つ目のゲート(開門時間は日の出の時刻)の先にあるので2つ目の開門時間(日の出の１時間ほど前)に出発すれば間に合います。
名前の通り、Dead valleyでの幻想的な風景を見ることも可能です。
サンライズツアーをロッジで手配することも可能ですが、このロッジまで自力で来れた方は全く問題なくセルフドライブで行けると思います。
部屋はとても広く、清潔で快適なラグジュアリーテントとなっています。バスルーム、トイレに行くのには外を通るので、冬に行く方は寒いと思います。シャワーの水圧、お湯の温度ともに問題ありません。
ドライヤーもついています。
共用部だけでなく部屋でもWiFiが強かったのはとても良い点です。
私が泊まったのは夏だったので、備え付けの冷蔵庫やヒーターは外気が暑すぎて昼間はあまり機能していませんでした。
料理はとても美味しかったです。
朝日を見る方は朝食をパックしてくれます。お水もいただけるのは助かります。
