LA REMISE
On the road leading from Chamonix to Argentière, 200 metres before the sign of the hamlet appeared, a house with an intimate and pleasant setting: wooden fireplace, exposed beams and cut stones and a wine cellar opening onto the room. A refined address successfully taken up by Morgane and John, the chef, who went through a few starry and royal kitchens in London. The time of a restful lunch is necessary to enjoy its gourmet cuisine, fresh, innovative products, in the style of trendy London bistros. Even for the prices! But the plates are up to the task. Real artist's paintings where colours and materials are delicately combined, as are the flavours. For dinner, we like the robust mature beef that we choose on piece as well as its accompaniment and sauce, but also the truffle pork fillet with morels... and truffles or the wolf fillet with sea fennel and its consommé of pastis and saffron, to finish gently with the typical strawberry and cream or a revisited Mont-Blanc. A work of art! On your return from skiing, you can enjoy an innovative salty or sweetened bol-food on the panoramic terrace and on your thumb before taking the opportunity to bring back a few slices of foie gras with a cloth or Scottish salmon smoked by the house. A gourmet restaurant not to be underestimated!
