Founded in 1968 by the pioneers of surfing in France, the Lacanau Surf Club is housed in the large Maison de la Glisse on the seafront. Dedicated entirely to surfing and its addicts, it was inaugurated in 1990 to provide Europe's largest surf club with a venue of its own, including for the management of the Caraïbos Lacanau Pro. On the program: beginner and advanced lessons, courses, packages and equipment hire. This not-to-be-missed spot also aims to raise awareness of coastal environmental issues.
