LIRE À LA PLAGE
At Cap d'Agde, on the beach of Rochelongue, 2500 works are made available to holidaymakers every day in this new open air library. Do you dream of escaping, reading a good novel installed in a transat with stunning sea views? That is possible. The operation «Read at the Beach» has been a great success for several summers. In 2013, the organizers, Chantal, Jules and Kate (agents of the Maison des knowledge d'Agde) even saw a 33% increase in the rate of attendance, which makes this year an expansion of reading space. This open and shaded open air library is open continuously from 1 July to 31 August, from 10 h to 19 h. On site, the reader has the opportunity to play in the reading of nearly 2 500 books, made available in the course of this operation. A haven of peace amidst the summer tumult… Press, magazines, novels, comics, manga, albums, books, practical guides… A wide palette has been selected to satisfy a maximum of readers. Many animations around reading and sports are also in place.
