ALASKA RAILROAD
Alaska would not be what it is without its legendary black and yellow train, since the Seward-Fairbanks line has been in operation since July 15, 1923, the date of its inauguration by the President of the United States, Warren G. Harding. This allowed the population explosion of the cities on this axis. Alaska Railway connects Anchorage to Fairbanks in the north and Seward in the south, on the Kenai Peninsula. The train is rarely the fastest, cheapest or most convenient option, but it offers a scenic and comfortable way to travel.
