FLYING MACHINE RESTAURANT

The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel's restaurant serves burgers, light snacks and salads, all of which can be enjoyed in a natural setting overlooking Lake Hood, where elk often roam. The highlight is watching several of the 200 small float planes take off and land on the lake each day during the peak season. The hotel also has a Fancy Moose lounge, which serves good craft beers, and in the summer, The Deck, an open-air terrace.
