Here is a very unusual place: this café is also the oldest gift store in Anchorage, so kitsch. You have to cross the room with shelves overflowing with trinkets, jewelry from all over the world and Alaskan souvenirs to reach the café with pale green walls and small wooden tables. At the back of the room, the sun shines through the lacy curtains as you dip your lips in the foam of your latte or fragrant tea. Soups, sandwiches, but especially appetizing homemade doughnuts and cakes.
