KEYSTONE CANYON
Keystone Canyon has wonderful waterfalls, a playground for winter climbing enthusiasts
Arriving in Valdez by car, after crossing Thompson Pass and admiring the Worthington Glacier, the road follows the Keystone Canyon, connecting the lower and upper Lowe Valley of the eponymous river. It stretches over 4.8 km, and its width is very variable, from 32 meters to nearly 150 meters. And it conceals a beautiful vegetation and marvelous waterfalls becoming, in winter, the playground of climbing enthusiasts. We can mention the Horsetail Waterfalls, 100 meters high, and the Bridal Veil Falls, both about 20 km from Valdez.
