The glacier has a parking lot, some signs about its history and constitution, and an easy hiking trail.
A few kilometers before arriving in Valdez, this glacier stands on the side of the road. It is one of the most easily accessible in Alaska, so you might as well enjoy it. Next to the parking lot, you can learn more about its history and its constitution thanks to some signs. A hiking trail allows you to approach it on foot quite quickly. Be careful though, as the ice is moving, it is not recommended, or even forbidden, to get too close and walk on the ice, but it is still a great experience to be a few meters away.
