PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND MUSEUM
Small museum at the Anchor Inn with temporary exhibits on naval history and the history of the battle
This small museum is located at the Anchor Inn in downtown Whittier. The exhibits are temporary, but all often highlight the history of the town, the naval history of the area, or the history of the Battle of Attu and Kiska on the Aleutian Islands. On the other hand, one also learns about Cold War conflicts, local heroic anecdotes and the sinking of the S.S.Yukon in 1946. The wooden showcases display many photos, objects and documents.
