THE CHAPEL OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST
Chapel which always conceals a very beautiful sarcophagus of the XVIIIth century in marbled wood in Gavray.
Located in the cemetery of the town, this small building is described from the 16th century, and has known how to go through time and its trials. After the Revolution, it was used as a meeting place for the equivalent of the town council, and then regained its religious vocation by becoming a necropolis for the parish priests of Gavray. Today, it still contains a beautiful 18th century sarcophagus in marbled wood. A detour is necessary to this place of worship very well known in the area.
