Managed by the Chugach National Forest Rangers, this campground, which accepts tents as well as vans and campers, allows you to enjoy an exceptional natural site, at the junction of the Russian and Kenai Rivers. Superb and ideal for observing the hundreds of salmon that swim upstream. A spot favored by bears who love fishy junctions like this one in the summer. Be careful and don't leave any food outside. Reservations are recommended, otherwise you have to hope that there is still room.
